Redesigning for strategic position for new investors and donors
Overview
Abia State Polytechnic is a tertiary institution in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. Considered one of the best Polytechnics in Nigeria, the client approached us intending to redesign the institution's website to meet its current needs—attract foreign investors and donors and improve the user interface, as the current site lacked a good user experience.

Role
Our task was to create a flawless design to improve user experience, accessibility, and efficient navigation for students and investors. We also made sure to highlight key features and achievements that were unique to the institution. This involved designing the user interface, developing responsive layouts, and implementing subtle interactive elements to engage users.
Aligning needs and pain points
The main challenge was to create a website that not only reflected the school's vision and mission but also communicated its achievements and commitment to outstanding academic excellence, in a way that was easily understandable to a diverse audience. Additionally, the site needed to cater to Students, Investors and Donors, highlighting the school's opportunities and potential.
From ideations to design
To address these challenges, we first carried out a UX audit of the current website to highlight key issues that would play a major role in our redesign process. We then drafted a well-detailed Information architecture and site map to help us strategically position information in the right place.
Design Solutions
Highlighting the goal and key problems, we focused on the following solutions:
An interactive website that allows visitors to navigate across the website easily.
A clear, concise information structure that allows users to easily consume information without experiencing cognitive load.
Highlighting key achievements and potential from the school that gives visitors a sense of social proof.
A responsive design that ensures seamless functionality across all devices.
The resulting website effectively communicates the goal of the redesign and meets the client's needs as it showcases a clean user interface, proper information structure, and a modern layout that makes the website stand out. Currently, the website is in the development phase.
